‘Allgäu’ Alps
Away from ski slopes and cross country trails for the whole week, we get to experience the magnificent winter landscape of the ‘Allgäu’. Cosy huts and mountain guest houses offer comfort and provide good food day in and out.

Daily routine:
Day 1:
Meeting point OASE AlpinCenter at 12 o’clock. After receiving the equipment we take a train to ‘Immenstadt’. On the way to the ‘Naturfeunde’ house, our today’s destination, we have enough time to get used to the snow shoes as well as being able to climb two peaks.
Hiking time approx. 4 hours, ascent 700 m, descent 100 m.
Day 2:
From the ‘Naturfreunde’ house we easily reach a long ridge which leads us via ‘Himmeleck’ (1.487 m) to ‘Prodel’ (1.336 m). The frozen over lake and the ‘Nagelfluh’ range is in view the entire time. The final ascent takes us up to the ‘Staufener’ hut and is made easy with the use of the ‘Hochgrat’ cable car.
Hiking time approx. 6 hours, ascent 200 m, descent 800 m.
Day 3:
This mornings destination is the ‘Hochgrat’ peak (1.832 m), highest point of the ‘Nagelfluh’ range. It is easy to get to the ‘Scheidwang’ cow pasture (1.317 m) from here and a little later we reach the ‘Heidenkopf’ peak (1.685 m). The descent takes us to ‘Balderschwang’, where we have a coffee break. After another two hours we finally reach our today’s destination, the ‘Burgl’ hut, located at 1.428 meters.
Hiking time approx. 6 hours, ascent 950 m, descent 1.100 m.
Day 4:
Over the ‘Sättele’ (1.434 m) we reach ‘Rohrmoos’, a lonely situated high valley with lots of snow. A last ascent leads us to the ‘Hörnle’ pass (1.283 m) before we reach the place of ‘Schwende’ in the ‘Kleinwasler’ valley. From there we take the bus back to ‘Oberstdorf’ (arrival at approx. 3:00 p.m.).
